First blog for this term! It seems like time truly does fly fast.

Three weeks ago we had our first meeting for this term. Miss Disa began the class by making us play Strands and afterward telling us what we were gonna do for this term. She also asked us about which topics we didn't understand/needed help in. We then played Scrabble for the whole second period. Almira won. That was pretty fun, I enjoyed it a lot. Come to think of it, the only reason why I know how to play Scrabble is because of AEP.

Today is our third meeting for this term. We played Squardle as our warm-up game today. After playing Squardle, we did a seatwork. The seatwork was hard. I got confused and lost. Anyway after that, we had to read a DOGOnews article about Utqiaġvik, Alaska and how the town will experience its final sunset for this year on November 19, 2024. According to the article, they'll see the sun again on January 23, 2024 (65 days of no Sun, wow!). We then played Waffle and Contexto since we had extra time. We did quite a lot today.

AEP Reflection 5 “Deep and meaningful”

Welcome back you all to another AEP blog! Today, Ill try my best to express things through words! Probably! Today was crazy.. currently in my car and I think I have to word things well here.. So, lets get started! Today in AEP class, the atmosphere was calm, with the usual quietness filling the room. It felt like a regular session as we were handed a single sheet of paper for the activity just like the last meeting. This simplicity was becoming a pattern~and I found comfort in it. As we settled in, the familiar voice from Ms. Disa’s phone once again guided us through the task. This time, we were presented with a checklist that asked us to select words we believed best described who we are. On the back of the sheet, the task became more challenging, as we had to choose the words that we felt defined us “perfectly”. It made me think harder about what truly represents me. December 11, 2024 - Hurdle Defeats us Starting off a game never knowing it will defeat us is truly the most humbling experience in AEP. And in this case, it was Hurdle. Everyone thinks it’s over, but it always comes back to us. It’s truly a battle, a battle between choosing which letters were correct and the placement of it. It was quite humbling to see at the end how blind we were during the game. We did a worksheet that included a graph and filled in the blanks. Other than that, we all recited one detail about a different graph and also read example answers. It wasn’t too difficult or anything like that since I adapted to doing these types of activities. January 8, 2025 - Defeated once again Once again, Hurdle returns to us. But it was quite different, it was somewhat similar to wordle, but you do it multiple times in a row until you lose.
