Blog #3

First blog of the year! This blog includes the padlet of many, many AEP meetings. 

Last padlet of the year (December 10, 2024). On that day, we didn't do much, just played games. We first played Scrabble (which Selim won) and then played Waffle. Had fun that day.

First padlet of the year (January 7, 2025). The break went by so quickly, it didn't feel like 2 weeks at all. I wish it was longer. Anyways, at the start of the class, Miss Disa asked us about the lessons she taught us and if we learned/remembered anything from it. After that, we played Scrabble once more. Somehow Selim beat us again. Selim is insanely lucky in Scrabble for some reason. He had nearly double everyone's score. He had around 120 something points if I remember correctly. We then played Contexto after we finished playing Scrabble. I enjoyed AEP and had a lot of fun. Missed lying on my bed though.

Second padlet (January 14, 2025). The class began with us playing Unlimited Wordle. It looked and seemed like normal Wordle though. Wasn't able to notice the difference. After playing, we did a seatwork. It was really hard and confusing. I was just guessing for the whole thing. We then read a DOGOnews article about an 18 year old Indian chess player becoming a grandmaster. Almost forgot to mention that we learned a new word today. That word was "layman". Means normal people, if I remember correctly. We did a lot. Was pretty sleepy that day.

And finally, my most recent padlet, January 28, 2025, or basically today. I can't believe it's almost February. Time flies super fast. Nonetheless, this is what we did today.  The warm up today was a really hard variant of Wordle. We just put random words since we didn't know how to figure it out. Miss Disa went out to print something so we just talked about the musical after "finishing" the really hard Wordle. When Miss came back, we continued the seatwork from last week. The part that Miss Disa told us to do was easier than the one last week. It wasn't as confusing. After doing the seatwork, we read 2 DOGOnews articles. One was about bike prototypes camouflaging while the other was about gadgets. The gadgets were quite cool. There was a CCTV paintball machine thing for intruders. That seemed pretty useful and fun to use. We did a lot today.

 I haven’t written a blog for quite a long time, and I also haven’t attended aep class for 3 weeks because I went to vacation in Boracay and there was the Musicals and the most recent one was the Holy week, to be honest I dont really remember what we did for aep for the past few weeks I was in class and as long as I can remember we did scrabble and did our seatwork. I dont know what to write about since I dont have anything to talk about the class since I was absent for quite a long time, anyways for the past few weeks I was  absent from aep class I did some cool activities and visited two different islands.  Roughly two weeks ago, I went to Boracay for vacation since it was Eid so we decided to go there for a week I had so much fun there and I really enjoyed it because I went snorkelling and did some other water sports activities. Now the second time I was absent for aep was because of the musicals, it was techinacally a holiday but I think I kinda enjoyed it unfortunate...

the cost of giving up — Leowyn Blog 3.3

 Today was the assignment of the final, retrospective blog we would do to encapsulate everything we've seen and learnt in AEP for Grade 11. It's a miracle I'm still smiling across the hallways, filled with days where I'm really just like "what is happening?" This year has really went by so fast and so soon, so here I am, in the final stretch of the year, seeking solace in the summer break (which I won't be getting due to college applications and my AS Levels.) Here's the rundown of what we've done in each term, paired with the titles of my blogs on those terms: Term One: eternal sunshine, ***Flawless, The Joker, Repeat Term 1 was one of the most grueling terms for me in AEP, mainly because of the unit topics. Helloooo!!! How is everyone?? Yup, I am late again, like always — and this time, I really am not sure what to write, as I am constantly getting demolished every day with Cambridge. If you were wondering where I was all this time… well, I was just doing past papers!! OKAY — so this blog was due weeks ago, and the reason I missed it (it’s not procrastination this time!!) is that I was absent during the last two weeks of classes that semester. For one of them, we had our stats mock for Cambridge, which I wonderfully failed, and for the next absence… I don't even remember what happened to me. Maybe I was just dead doing all the past papers. Sorry, Miss Disa — I began procrastinating midway!! Well, I’m going to finish this now. This semester, we started doing lessons on environmental words. It was a pretty easy chapter and fun lessons!
