Reflection 1 — SEM 1 — Adi

We are back to another year of AEP!!!!

I would like to recap a bit on what happened over the summer. Overall... pretty much nothing. I went to the mountains in Atok and stopped by Batangas for a small day trip but that was most of what I did. I spent my summer at home, sleeping, drawing, writing. Not much excitement there.

Being in Grade 12, it's not that much different from how it was in Grade 11. It feels a bit more relaxed now, somehow, since every lesson is limited to only one for each session and we're only discussing about one thing for every class now. I will say, it's been quite a good ride for now.

In our first proper discussion, we were conversing about the conventions of time management and how to properly apply methods that can improve your time management. Some of the methods that I remember include keeping a calendar, prioritizing tasks, knowing when to take breaks, etc. These methods are often rinsed and repeated time and time again as there's really not much else you can advise on when it comes to improving time management. Every solution is different and every tip will fit and work for different people.

The methods that I have applied to my own learning that I notice have worked rather well is putting effort into finishing my work on the day of. I started staying back in school to finish simpler homework, notes, and the like. This has vastly improved my productivity and allowed me more downtime when I reach home. Of course, reviewing and studying for school still proves to be a bit of a hassle so I struggle with that. But it's not all that difficult.

My main problem with time management stems from the fact that I struggle to motivate myself to do rather simple tasks. "Read that chapter" or "finish this project". It only evokes a feeling of exhaustion that makes it difficult for me to do said tasks.

On the bright side, I have mostly improved my time management and I plan to continue doing so in the near future.

Blog #3

First blog of the year! This blog includes the padlet of many, many AEP meetings.  Last padlet of the year (December 10, 2024). On that day, we didn't do much, just played games. We first played Scrabble (which Selim won) and then played Waffle. Had fun that day. First padlet of the year (January 7, 2025). The break went by so quickly, it didn't feel like 2 weeks at all. I wish it was longer. Anyways, at the start of the class, Miss Disa asked us about the lessons she taught us and if we learned/remembered anything from it. After that, we played Scrabble once more. Somehow Selim beat us again. Selim is insanely lucky in Scrabble for some reason. He had nearly double everyone's score. He had around 120 something points if I remember correctly. We then played Contexto after we finished playing Scrabble. I enjoyed AEP and had a lot of fun. Missed lying on my bed though. Second padlet (January 14, 2025). The class began with us playing Unlimited Wordle. It looked and seemed lik...

Busra D (AEP 3.1)

ITS ALREADY 3ND TRIMESTER THAT IS CRAZY. Time goes by so fast like flash I’m excited and nervous at the same time for this 3rd trimester!!  This time I will do my blog different , I’ll just explain what we did most of the time in AEP. Before we get to the main part of our topic of game we always play word puzzles to get our mind moving, it helps us not sleep in AEP heh. Sometimes we also play scrabble which is really fun. I lost my streak sadly :( Jia is really good I’m usually 2nd place. One of my core memorize is dogo news miss makes it so fun to read and has interesting topics ( just like the banana taped on the wall) it will never get out of my mind. We also do listening tasks which is alright I guess. Well anyways this 2nd trimester went by so fast hope to see you next time byeee!!!.

End and the start of term!

Helloooo everyone! Welcome with another blast! See, your favorite blogger is not late this time!!! And that is because it's just the start of another term, and the workload from school is quite light. Can you believe it's the last term already?? I am still in disbelief—only 2/3 of grade 11 is left, and then our final year of high school... I don't even want to think about it! We have learned a lot of things in AEP last term, including discovering new games and learning a lot more of Miss Disa's fun anecdotes. AEP this year has taught me a lot of technical terms as we have been getting lessons on very niche and specific topics. You know how a word appears a lot when you newly learn it? Now, due to my expansion of vocabulary, I started seeing the words I am learning everywhere, and that brings a bit of peace in me, as I think, well, I am learning something. We had worksheets on Healthcare, Crime and Punishment, Business, and Politics. My favorite among them was the health...
