Second reflection of the second semester and man... why is this so frustrating for no reason?
I recall just in my very last reflection I spoke on how this topic is relatively fun and I'm hoping to expand more on my presentation skills with this. However, after that second presentation, I realize how difficult it actually is to deliver a more engaging presentation. In all seriousness, I'm positive that the reason why my presentation ended up being as sub-par as it was is because I tried fitting more information than last time just because our presentation time was extended by 2 minutes and that caused me to over-explain way too many things. I once again rushed my presentation which caused this lapse in my progress.
However, I was pretty pleased at the fact that Miss seemed to prefer this second presentation more since I included the extra game at the end that would help engage my audience even more. I mostly liked how that game also just made it even more fun for me to present, although my time exceeded double our limit and I presented for ten minutes... sigh,
The inclusion of more pictures also made my presentation more appealing.
Right now, I just need to prioritize cutting out the things that I'm definitely pushing in my presentations. Miss advised to everyone to practice our presentations which should be obvious but IN MY DEFENSE, I spent my last weekend in Tagaytay and I spent the subsequent days catching up on my work. It's alllll excuses though so I'll shut up now.
I can make time this time to practice more and actually watch the videos that Miss posted. On top of practice, I think I'll focus on refining the slides themselves and think of creative ways to add on the engagement.
I think I'll bring real flowers to school for the next presentation for a live-show of some sort. Or I can also incorporate it into my games again. We'll see after I redo the presentation!
Anyways, that's all I have for this week's reflection.
Thank you for reading!
