It's been so long that I've forgotten how to write blogs. I've also got the sudden urge to talk about how this school year has been going so far- let's say it's been quite the adjustment stepping into 11th grade, and I'm still trying to get used to it. New study tactics, new responsibilities, new worries, new everything. On the bright side though, I'm finding most of my subjects more interesting than ever.
Anyway, enough of my rambling—hello there! It's been a bit since the start of the second term, but now that quizzes are coming up, maybe it hasn't been that little of a bit. Anyhow, in AEP, we started this new term on November 6, and the first thing we did was recap all that's been said and done. So, it feels fitting to give you a quick rundown of the first term.
We covered Units 1 and 2, which focused on business and political terms. I can't say I'm particularly interested in either, but they're definitely useful nonetheless. Just the other day, I came across an article and was shocked to find not one, but many of the terms. And thanks to AEP, I didn't even have to look up the definitions of the words😎.
But when the time came around and Miss Disa tested our memory on the vocabulary, I realized- poof- everything I thought I knew had dissipated into thin air. Regardless, the recall proved useful, and it felt reassuring to know that learning all this has a practical side to it. After that, miss told us about the changes that'll be implemented in AEP from here on out to help us improve. Finally, the day ended with a fun round of Scrabble as a treat for completing finals!
On November 13, we started class with a game of Hurdle and managed to guess the word "flown". Following this, miss announced that we'd be covering a new unit: Medical and Health Issues. I was quite content with the selected unit from the poll we had answered previously. Although I hadn't chosen it myself, it was a close second for sure. When we were each handed a worksheet to fill out, I was glad that I found it easier than the other two units. There were still, undoubtedly, words I didn't know, which I guess is a good thing.
That's it for this blog. Hopefully, this second term will flow smoothly for everyone. As always, thank you for reading this and I'm hoping to see you in the next one!
Signing off,
Meral
