The last four AEP lessons had been drastically different each day, which I found quite hilarious.
Firstly, the class after the last blog, I had been late to class. Not just late, I missed one entire period just because of the so-called prodigious Angkas app! While my parents would tell me not to wake up late and get ready for school 20 minutes prior lest I can't book a motorbike, the amazing app proceeded to tell me that they 'couldn't find a booking! Our bikes are in demand!' Safe to say that, from then on, I vowed to use their competitor app (MoveIt) to make bookings for school.
Fortunately for me, that same day, we had only done a review session on the words we learned in the last three units. I had to say, it was a lot for a person who had been stressed out by a simple application that couldn't get me a ride to school. I was frantically calling my mother to tell the admin not to give me a demerit for being late, but alas, I missed the fun part of the period.
The week after that was the exam week, which I didn't take too seriously this year for some strange reason. I was really laid-back in studying, probably because I enjoyed the topics learned that midterm, and studied really well (even though I got a terrible score for ... Biology. Unbelievable). During that period, I remembered I studied for maths, as always.
After the break, we came back with a meltdown from Ms. Disa about a plane ticket and some 5,000 PHP. Something about the flight ticket not being given and somehow money wasn't being given back? Funnily enough, or topic today was about crime—extortion is one. Isn't that great? We're learning about things we'll need nowadays, now that we have flight tickets somehow magically disappearing and money being taken away from us for about a year or so, in an attempt to make us forget that 'Oh, we were supposed to be on a trip to Boracay!'
Really, though, I'm quite excited for this half-term as we will be delving into some crime. Though, it wasn't me who chose the topic—I personally wanted the environment topic. Still, it's a good thing we're learning about crime because now I know about crime I never knew about!
Happy birthday to me too!
