Absence- Meral- AEP 11- Blog 3.2


Honestly, I'm unsure what to write for this blog since I was absent two-thirds of the time- either due to mocks or falling sick. This third term has definitely had a messy beginning for me, with everything clumped together- school, musicals, and AS levels fast approaching. I fear it will only get busier from here, now that midterms are over and we're onto the last stretch of chaos.

For AEP, though, we started a new unit focused on Environmental Science, which explores nature and how humans interact with it. I find this topic particularly relevant since it directly affects our daily lives and provides a clearer picture of the climate crisis we're facing today.

One Wednesday, on February 26th, we kicked off class with a friendly round of Waffle, which we successfully completed! Miss Disa then grouped us into three's with my group consisting of Naboni, Shasmeen and I. We were handed out paper cutouts of collocations to mix and match. After a few mishaps- papers flying due to laughter (or coughing fits)- my group managed to nearly complete the long list of matches.

There were three categories: global warming, the environment, and nature, which served as helpful hints. Some phrases were tricky since they could fit in multiple ways, making the exercise both a challenge and a great mental workout. Despite that, I enjoyed the activity as it was an engaging way to learn about these different vocabularies.

AEP Reflection 5 “Deep and meaningful”

Welcome back you all to another AEP blog! Today, Ill try my best to express things through words! Probably! Today was crazy.. currently in my car and I think I have to word things well here.. So, lets get started!  Today in AEP class, the atmosphere was calm, with the usual quietness filling the room. It felt like a regular session as we were handed a single sheet of paper for the activity just like the last meeting.
