3.1 Mysha Macabuat

The final term, yay! 3 months of demotivation and barely getting by until summer starts. Sweet, beautiful, break.

Feb 19 - Duotrigor-Don't

Duotrigordle. Sounds like a spell. Feels like a curse. The premise? Solve 32 Wordles. At. The. Same. Time. In a limited number of guesses.

The suffering began immediately. It took us over 20 minutes. Most of which consisted of Sid speaking rapid-fire guesses while the rest of us nodded solemnly, too stunned to contribute. The words kind of melted together, but it was an interesting mind-boggle. .

Did we finish? Not really. Did we win? Also no. But did we keep guessing anyway like stubborn toddlers who refuse to accept bedtime? Yes. Yes, we did. The moral of the story? Duotrigordle is no warmup. It’s psychological warfare disguised as a word game.

The rest of AEP was abruptly cut off by club time. Fun.

Feb 26 - Wordle. Exam. Identity Crisis.

Ah, yes. A shortened period. A blessing. Or so I thought.

We dove straight into Wordle, a classic we usually devour by the third try. Not today. Ms. Disa held the pen—a twist in the timeline—and the guesses began. Kuk saved the day with “Award.” On the second-last try. Tragic with a hint of triumph. This is the emotional rollercoaster I didn’t buy tickets for.

Then came the exams. Oh, the sweet taste of humble pie. I, who believed I was invincible, was forced to reckon with my mistakes. The real kicker? A neat answer sheet Ms. made with ChatGPT. (Hi bestie.) She emphasized AI is a tool, not a crutch. I stared at my paper and nodded, soul crumbling slowly.

Just when I thought it was over, maps entered the scene. A worksheet with confusing letters, blurry instructions, and no backup plan. Ms. didn’t double-check the print, so we adapted like confused survivors in an apocalyptic geography class. Eventually, we each had to give a sentence comparing the maps. Mine was... a sentence. That’s all I’ll say.

February, you’ve been wild. You brought me Duotrigordle-induced headaches, Wordle near-failures, and the shocking realization that maybe I’m not that good at map-reading. Thanks, I hate it. But I’m still standing. Barely.

Blog 3.3 Almira

I haven’t written a blog for quite a long time, and I also haven’t attended aep class for 3 weeks because I went to vacation in Boracay and there was the Musicals and the most recent one was the Holy week, to be honest I dont really remember what we did for aep for the past few weeks I was in class and as long as I can remember we did scrabble and did our seatwork. I dont know what to write about since I dont have anything to talk about the class since I was absent for quite a long time, anyways for the past few weeks I was  absent from aep class I did some cool activities and visited two different islands.  Roughly two weeks ago, I went to Boracay for vacation since it was Eid so we decided to go there for a week I had so much fun there and I really enjoyed it because I went snorkelling and did some other water sports activities. Now the second time I was absent for aep was because of the musicals, it was techinacally a holiday but I think I kinda enjoyed it unfortunate...

the cost of giving up — Leowyn Blog 3.3

Today was the assignment of the final, retrospective blog we would do to encapsulate everything we've seen and learnt in AEP for Grade 11. It's a miracle I'm still smiling across the hallways, filled with days where I'm really just like "what is happening?" This year has really went by so fast and so soon, so here I am, in the final stretch of the year, seeking solace in the summer break (which I won't be getting due to college applications and my AS Levels.) Here's the rundown of what we've done in each term, paired with the titles of my blogs on those terms: Term One: eternal sunshine, ***Flawless, The Joker, Repeat Term 1 was one of the most grueling terms for me in AEP, mainly because of the unit topics. Learning business terms and political terms even though I explicitly said, to everyone in my life, I would never touch a business topic ever again ... but there I was, running around with 'gerrymandering' in my head 24/7. It was good p...

Helloooo!!! How is everyone?? Yup, I am late again, like always — and this time, I really am not sure what to write, as I am constantly getting demolished every day with Cambridge. If you were wondering where I was all this time… well, I was just doing past papers!! OKAY — so this blog was due weeks ago, and the reason I missed it (it’s not procrastination this time!!) is that I was absent during the last two weeks of classes that semester. For one of them, we had our stats mock for Cambridge, which I wonderfully failed, and for the next absence… I don't even remember what happened to me. Maybe I was just dead doing all the past papers. Sorry, Miss Disa — I began procrastinating midway!! Well, I’m going to finish this now. This semester, we started doing lessons on environmental words. It was a pretty easy chapter and fun lessons! Too bad I missed most of them. Anyway, on the first day, Miss Disa gave us some random cut-out words that go together. Me, Meral, and Sashmeen were in ...
