3.1 Mysha Macabuat

The final term, yay! 3 months of demotivation and barely getting by until summer starts. Sweet, beautiful, break.

Feb 19 - Duotrigor-Don't

Duotrigordle. Sounds like a spell. Feels like a curse. The premise? Solve 32 Wordles. At. The. Same. Time. In a limited number of guesses.

The suffering began immediately. It took us over 20 minutes. Most of which consisted of Sid speaking rapid-fire guesses while the rest of us nodded solemnly, too stunned to contribute. The words kind of melted together, but it was an interesting mind-boggle. .

Did we finish? Not really. Did we win? Also no. But did we keep guessing anyway like stubborn toddlers who refuse to accept bedtime? Yes. Yes, we did. The moral of the story? Duotrigordle is no warmup. It’s psychological warfare disguised as a word game.

The rest of AEP was abruptly cut off by club time. Fun.

Feb 26 - Wordle. Exam. Identity Crisis.

Ah, yes. A shortened period. A blessing. Or so I thought.

We dove straight into Wordle, a classic we usually devour by the third try. Not today. Ms. Disa held the pen—a twist in the timeline—and the guesses began. Kuk saved the day with “Award.” On the second-last try. Tragic with a hint of triumph. This is the emotional rollercoaster I didn’t buy tickets for.

Then came the exams. Oh, the sweet taste of humble pie. I, who believed I was invincible, was forced to reckon with my mistakes. The real kicker? A neat answer sheet Ms. made with ChatGPT. (Hi bestie.) She emphasized AI is a tool, not a crutch. I stared at my paper and nodded, soul crumbling slowly.

Just when I thought it was over, maps entered the scene. A worksheet with confusing letters, blurry instructions, and no backup plan. Ms. didn’t double-check the print, so we adapted like confused survivors in an apocalyptic geography class. Eventually, we each had to give a sentence comparing the maps. Mine was... a sentence. That’s all I’ll say.

February, you’ve been wild. You brought me Duotrigordle-induced headaches, Wordle near-failures, and the shocking realization that maybe I’m not that good at map-reading. Thanks, I hate it. But I’m still standing. Barely.

Blog #3

First blog of the year! This blog includes the padlet of many, many AEP meetings.  Last padlet of the year (December 10, 2024). On that day, we didn't do much, just played games. We first played Scrabble (which Selim won) and then played Waffle. Had fun that day. First padlet of the year (January 7, 2025). The break went by so quickly, it didn't feel like 2 weeks at all. I wish it was longer. Anyways, at the start of the class, Miss Disa asked us about the lessons she taught us and if we learned/remembered anything from it. After that, we played Scrabble once more. Somehow Selim beat us again. Selim is insanely lucky in Scrabble for some reason. He had nearly double everyone's score. He had around 120 something points if I remember correctly. We then played Contexto after we finished playing Scrabble. I enjoyed AEP and had a lot of fun. Missed lying on my bed though. Second padlet (January 14, 2025). The class began with us playing Unlimited Wordle. It looked and seemed lik...

Busra D (AEP 3.1)

ITS ALREADY 3ND TRIMESTER THAT IS CRAZY. Time goes by so fast like flash I’m excited and nervous at the same time for this 3rd trimester!!  This time I will do my blog different , I’ll just explain what we did most of the time in AEP. Before we get to the main part of our topic of game we always play word puzzles to get our mind moving, it helps us not sleep in AEP heh. Sometimes we also play scrabble which is really fun. I lost my streak sadly :( Jia is really good I’m usually 2nd place. One of my core memorize is dogo news miss makes it so fun to read and has interesting topics ( just like the banana taped on the wall) it will never get out of my mind. We also do listening tasks which is alright I guess. Well anyways this 2nd trimester went by so fast hope to see you next time byeee!!!.

End and the start of term!

Helloooo everyone! Welcome with another blast! See, your favorite blogger is not late this time!!! And that is because it's just the start of another term, and the workload from school is quite light. Can you believe it's the last term already?? I am still in disbelief—only 2/3 of grade 11 is left, and then our final year of high school... I don't even want to think about it! We have learned a lot of things in AEP last term, including discovering new games and learning a lot more of Miss Disa's fun anecdotes. AEP this year has taught me a lot of technical terms as we have been getting lessons on very niche and specific topics. You know how a word appears a lot when you newly learn it? Now, due to my expansion of vocabulary, I started seeing the words I am learning everywhere, and that brings a bit of peace in me, as I think, well, I am learning something. We had worksheets on Healthcare, Crime and Punishment, Business, and Politics. My favorite among them was the health...
